Spring is in the air… and in the spirit of sharing and caring, RevUp brought some heart warming Lunar New Year cheer to the folks at The Singapore Cheshire Home, a place called “home” for the severely disabled who do not have adequate care. The residents were grinning like Cheshire cats with mandarin oranges in hand known as “kum” or “gold” and Chinese calligraphy paintings which kept them busy and entertained. The result? A painter’s stroke swept across their faces, twinkling with delight at their masterpieces.
Founded in 1956, the Home which houses 90 residents and a Day Care Centre, provides a caring environment for individuals with severe disabilities in Serangoon Garden Way. It offers essential nursing care, rehabilitation, and social activities to help beneficiaries regain independence and improve their quality of life.
Many residents come from low-income backgrounds, and donations are vital in sustaining the Home’s services. Every contribution helps provide essential care and support.
